Template, please review. These terms describe common policies for a small online school. Adjust them so they match exactly how The Language Llama works before publishing.
These terms apply to lessons booked with The Language Llama. By booking lessons you agree to them. Questions? Email languagellamaschool@gmail.com.
Free trial lesson
The first trial lesson is free and without obligation. No payment details are needed to book it.
Lessons
- Lessons take place online via Zoom. You need a device with a camera, a stable internet connection and ideally a headset.
- Lessons start and end on time. If a learner joins late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time.
- For young children, a parent or guardian should be nearby, especially for the first lessons.
Booking, rescheduling and cancellations
- You can reschedule or cancel a lesson free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Lessons cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, may be charged. We’ll always try to be fair about genuine emergencies.
- If we ever need to cancel a lesson, we will offer a new time or a refund for that lesson.
Prices and payment
- Current prices are shown on our Pricing page. You can pay month to month, at the start of each month, or pay for a 3-month, 6-month or 1-year package up front.
- Sibling discounts and other offers are described on the Pricing page.
- Happiness promise: if lessons aren’t right for you during the first month, we refund every lesson you haven’t used.
Behaviour and safeguarding
We keep lessons safe, kind and respectful. We may end a lesson if anyone behaves inappropriately. Teachers never contact children privately; all communication goes through parents or guardians.
Liability
We do our best to provide high-quality lessons but can’t guarantee specific results such as exam grades. We’re not responsible for problems caused by internet connections or third-party services outside our control.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
